TADOBA ANDHARI TIGER RESERVE

Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve, located in the Chandrapur district of Maharashtra, India is the oldest and most exciting and best-protected wildernesses in the state.

Spread over approximately 1,700 sq. km. (core and buffer), the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve has a dense forest area, smooth meadows, deep valleys, and a great atmosphere to stabilize more numbers of tigers and other animals like the leopard, sloth bear, hyena, jackal, wild dog, nilgai and sambar inhabit the reserve.

Teak and bamboo dominate this landscape and scenic treks with interesting wildlife sightings are assured at Tadoba.

The park is open for visitors throughout the year. Excursions are permitted only by daylight i.e. sunrise to sunset. Official guides are compulsory for all excursions. The best times to visit are early mornings and late afternoons. 

Entry gates for safari in Tadoba:

Core Zone

Moharli Gate: Moharli Gate is the oldest entrance to the park, which is located approximately 10 km from the resort. There is entry of SIXTEEN vehicles each morning and evening for tiger safari from this gate.

Khutwanda Gate: is 3 km from the resort and the number of vehicles allowed for tiger safari from this gate are TWO each morning and evening.

 

Buffer Zone

Junona Gate: Located approximate 10 km from the resort. The number of vehicles allowed for tiger safari from this gate are SIX each morning and evening.

Agarzari Gate: Located approximate 13 km from the resort. The number of vehicles allowed for tiger safari from this gate are SIX each morning and evening.

Devada Gate: Located approximate 13 km from the resort. The number of vehicles allowed for tiger safari from this gate are TWELVE each morning and evening.
